Q.  How long until I can see the dentist after joining and how long does it take to receive my membership card?

A.  Immediately after you sign up you'll receive an email with your ID number for immediate use.  A few days later you'll also receive your plastic membership card in the mail!

Q.  Who is covered under the family dental plan?

A.  All permanent residents of the members household are covered.  When signing up there is an area to enter all the family members names to be covered.  Your membership card will list all family members you enter when signing up.

Q.  How many times can I use the plan?

A.  You can use the plan over and over again to save on every visit for you and your entire family!  There is no limit on how many times you can use the plan!

Q.  Can I nominate my dentist if they are not in your network?

A.  Of course, a representative will contact your dentist to begin the credentialing process.  Call us to refer your dentist.

Q.  What plan name will my dentist recognize?

A.  We utilize the DenteMAX network of dentists.  So although your a member of the DentaCard Dental Plan, dentists will recognize the DenteMAX name. Since DenteMax was founded in 1985, they’ve been committed to building a quality national, seamless, credentialed dental network. Today, DenteMax is more than 81,000 dentist access points strong, and still growing!

DenteMax conducts customized recruitment campaigns to target geographic areas where members are concentrated. The DenteMax network is always accepting new dentists, and all DenteMax dentists accept new patients.

DentaCard has contracted with the DenteMax Network to assure quality licensed dentists. Many dentists will be more familiar with the DenteMax Name.
When contacting a dental office simply ask "do you accept DenteMax". Membership cards will contain the DenteMax Logo.

Q.  What if I want to change my dentist?

A.  With nearly 70,000 dental providers changing your dentist is as simple as picking one from our extensive network and making an appointment  You can change dentists at any time!

Q.  Do I need a referral to see a specialist?

A.  You can visit any specialist without a referral, simply choose your specialist from nearly 70,000 dental providers and make your appointment.
